In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, Cat Rudland, Talent Business Partner, UK, shares how we make wellness matter at Momentum.
How does Momentum make wellness matter through the MYNDUP partnership?
One pillar of Momentum’s purpose-driven strategy, Make It Matter, is Wellness. Through our partnership with MYNDUP, we’ve moved away from being reactive by embedding proactive mental health support directly into our everyday culture.
For us, MYNDUP is an essential part of our offering – providing a confidential support line, training to help guide our people managers in developing the skills to navigate and better support their teams, and tools for growth through their wellbeing library, educational content, and coaches.
With our collaboration, ‘Mynd-Mentum’ curates a healthy and supportive framework by driving the all-important work-life balance, which in turn empowers our employees to thrive both personally and professionally.
Why is it important to personalize well-being support in the workplace?
I’m proud to say we’ve never operated with a lens of a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach as when it comes to well-being, we understand and recognize that every employee has unique health, personal, and professional needs or goals.
Behind every result, every goal, and every success story are people. That’s why personalized well-being matters, because when people flourish, performance does too.
We provide the ingredients, you can choose what you make!
What advice do you have for employees to support their well-being at work?
Momentum’s core value of ‘Be One’ has always resonated most with me as it captures unity, inclusivity, and collaboration. When we operate as a team with open communication, we create safe environments for psychological safety.
To create a psychologically safe work environment for yourself, I suggest establishing clear personal boundaries, practicing vulnerable communication (like admitting when you don’t know something), and reframing mistakes as growth opportunities rather than failures.
By cultivating this mindset and setting expectations early, you can take stronger control of your well-being.
