SOPHIE KOHS

What’s an interesting fact about yourself?

For the past two summers I have been a waterski/wakeboard and windsurfing instructor in Maine!

Which of Momentum’s Core Values resonates with you most, and why?

Be One – During my first week on the Research team at Momentum, I’ve noticed that the collaboration and ability of the team to work together is so critical to the team’s success. While each team member is concurrently juggling a handful of different projects, everyone makes it a priority to support each other when someone needs a hand or a second pair of eyes. This makes me feel confident in the work that I do because I know that my team, as well as the agency at large, is there to support me along the way.

What are you most looking forward to during your Internship?

I’m most excited about the opportunities provided through the internship program to learn about all different aspects of the agency. Our weekly “Snack n’ Learns” allow us to meet with people outside of our own department to learn more about the work that they do. Becoming more knowledgeable about how all these different teams work together throughout a project helps to understand how a Total Brand Experience is brought to life.

SIMRAN BAGGA

What’s an interesting fact about yourself?

I have won various awards in Art and Craft and there was a point in my life where I was specifically intrigued by digitization so I thought to myself, why not learn to digitize my own skill? Hence, I took to digitizing this passion and developed the skill of graphic designing and I would like to attribute my ability to prepare some really appealing dashboards to this passion of mine which I decided to give different turns to over the course of my life.

Which of Momentum’s Core Values resonates with you most, and why?

Momentum’s ‘Grow’ value resonates the most with me because by nature, I tend to think in futuristic terms. I am a strong believer of not staying stagnant and pushing oneself above and beyond the existing limits given the fact that today, we live in an ever-changing dynamic world. I am glad to see that one of the core values of Momentum is one that facilitates and respects growth, which reassures me of its forward looking, futuristic and innovative approaches towards providing the best experiences.

What are you most looking forward to during your Internship?

As the analytics intern at an experiential agency, something that I am really looking forward to is understanding how data can significantly affect the upcoming experiential activations that Momentum plans to execute and observe the actual and perfect blend of creativity and analytics throughout those processes. I was always all about creativity and analytics, together, to be able to use data to display visually appealing data stories and aid in executing creative customer experiences, and what would be a better place than an experiential creative agency like Momentum to work at!

EMMA BUTLER

What’s an interesting fact about yourself?

I once backpacked through Wyoming (and, sadly, did not shower) for a month straight!

Which of Momentum’s Core Values resonates with you most, and why?

I’d have to choose ‘Do Great Work’; with the past couple of years we have all gone through with the pandemic, everyone seems to want to leave the world better than they found it and reconnect with people. This value strikes a chord with me because while I’m still trying to navigate and pinpoint my career aspirations, I know that I want to be a part of something that brings people together, benefits the lives of those it reaches, and has a positive impact on the industry or the world it operates within–put simply, I want to do great work.

What are you most looking forward to during your Internship?

I’m really looking forward to getting a peek behind the curtain! Momentum has been behind so many activations and sponsorships that I’ve seen without me even knowing, and I’m excited to work alongside and learn from the people who have brought so many creative, innovative, and entertaining projects together.

HARRY MOROSS

What’s an interesting fact about yourself?

I lived and worked on a farm in Bolivia for 4 months during my gap year where I taught myself the guitar.

Which of Momentum’s Core Values resonates with you most, and why?

The core value that resonates with me the most is Grow, as I hope to learn a great deal from working at Momentum and specifically develop a greater understanding of the branding and marketing world.

What are you most looking forward to during your Internship?

I am most looking forward to working and collaborating with brands that I see and use frequently in my daily life, and getting an inside look into the process of how different marketing campaigns are actually created.

MINA GURKAN

What’s an interesting fact about yourself?

I’ve been using Photoshop since I was 9 years old. I would take screenshots from my favorite computer games and use the software to create new characters and items (clothing, food, tools, etc.) that I wanted to see in the games.

Which of Momentum’s Core Values resonates with you most, and why?

Give Back – Agencies have so much power and influence over our society. That’s why I really resonate with Momentum’s core value of giving back, because it is equally important for us to use our skills to solve problems for the good. Momentum has created a lot of work intended to uplift communities in need, which is why I was drawn to the agency in the first place.

What are you most looking forward to during your Internship?

This summer, I’m excited to help Momentum create innovative experiences while advancing my creative skills. I hope to explore all the different levels of XD and expose myself to new design processes. I also look forward to seeing how all the different departments collaborate with one another to create a Momentum experience.

PAIGE THOMAS

What’s an interesting fact about yourself?

An interesting fact about me is that I spent a summer selling fudge and hiking mountains in Juneau, Alaska.

Which of Momentum’s Core Values resonates with you most, and why?

The core value of Do Great Work resonates with me the most because I always believe in doing all I can to create the best work possible, all the while bringing out the best in those around me—cheering them on every step of the way.

What are you most looking forward to during your Internship?

I am looking forward to the learning and growth that this internship offers. I hope to become a better empathetic leader and strong communicator thanks to the teachings of the talented people of Momentum.

DEAN PISANO

What’s an interesting fact about yourself?

As a middle schooler I was invited to play a football game in both the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans stadiums. It was a great experience; I’ll never forget how awesome it was to look up at the jumbotron and see myself. Unfortunately, that was the end of my “Pro” career I was only offered that 2-game contract.

Which of Momentum’s Core Values resonates with you most, and why?

The core value that resonates the most with me is to Have Fun. Obviously, it’s important to do great work and grow, but having fun whilst doing those things is the ultimate goal.

What are you most looking forward to during your Internship?

This is my first internship and the thing that I’m most excited for is the experience. I want to learn and experience as much as possible in order to determine what areas of the business I enjoy. Ultimately, I’m trying to determine if I can see myself doing this as a career in the future.

NINA BLANC

What’s an interesting fact about yourself?

I produced and launched my own podcast at the end of last year!

Which of Momentum’s Core Values resonates with you most, and why?

Have Fun resonates with me the most because I am someone who enjoys the journey first and looking at the final product closely after that. As someone who loves to get into every last detail, I have fun with the process of a project and what happens along the way. Working collaboratively with a team is what excites me most about this industry and Momentum. I am way more interested in the work that I do, and its tedious tasks, if I am working in a fun environment where I am proud of every part of a project that I touch.

What are you most looking forward to during your internship?

I am looking forward to learning literally everything that I can from this internship. I want to understand how Momentum works, how this industry works and how I fit into both. As someone who just graduated from college, I am open to any and all opportunities this internship can give me. I am also excited to be in New York City for the summer and experience all that it has to offer!
