We are thrilled to announce the start of the EQUAT/ON Internship Program 2016 welcoming 24 interns to the Momentum Worldwide family across all of its North American offices. And yeah, they’re pretty great.
Sitting in New York, Chicago, St. Louis, and Atlanta, our talented interns will be hands-on, actively immersed in helping creating unforgettable brand experiences and making the seemingly impossible a reality.
“Momentum seemed like such an incredible opportunity,” said recent University of Michigan graduate and Momentum intern Libby Rice. “Most people think of advertising or marketing as just catchy one-liners and traditional commercials. Momentum thinks so far outside the box and pushes so many limits by using experiences. Working in such a creative and driven environment, I’m excited to learn that approach during my summer here.”
The program kicked off with the Brand Experience Boot Camp where the interns learned about how experiential and live events, sponsorships and entertainment, shopper and promotional marketing work together to create effective brand experiences. Each intern is placed with a client team or creative discipline as his or her home base, but over the course of the summer are exposed to all departments and disciplines to fully experience how we work together, bringing our outrageous ideas to life. Additionally, each intern is paired with a current Momentum employee who serves as a mentor and helps in the intern’s growth throughout the summer.
To cap off their summer at Momentum, the interns will team up to compete against their peers on the Pitch Challenge. This year’s Pitch Challenge client is the non-profit organization Per Diems Against Poverty. The interns will respond to a brief from the client and then are tasked with creating a brand experience that will help the group achieve measureable goals. Momentum creates work that lives out in the world and the Pitch Challenge is no exception, as Per Diems Against Poverty will ultimately take the winning ideas and bring them to life.
Throughout the summer, the EQUAT/ON interns can also look forward to:
- Weekly Lunch & Learns
- IPG Intern event at CUNY Graduate Center
- Department workshops with Momentum’s strategy, creative, and HR teams
We are very pleased to welcome our newest team of big thinkers, provocateurs, curious and unstoppable innovators: The EQUAT/ON Intern Class of 2016!
