Women’s History Month: Q&A With Macy Robinson

Macy Robinson, Associate Experiential Producer at Momentum Worldwide shines a spotlight on the women who have empowered her in celebration of Women’s History Month…

Tell us a bit about yourself!

I am Macy Robinson, an Associate Experiential Producer on the William Grant and Sons team and just celebrated my 3-year Momentum Anniversary this past February. In college, I had an event production internship for an endurance racing production company (RipRoar Events) and fell in love with event production. Creating moments for people to experience together is my favorite part of the job. My go-to personal fact is that I played basketball in college. While I no longer play, a lot of who I am as a person is directly related to the things I learned throughout that experience.

Who has empowered you in your journey and why?

I’ve been fortunate enough to have a lot of people in my life that empowered me along the way. For example, my family, which includes a lot of strong, intelligent, hard working women and men, taught me from a young age that I could do anything I set my mind to. My college coach and teammates are people that continuously inspire me to work to be the best version of myself in everything I do. Women like Dolly Parton, Ilona Maher, and Simone Biles have inspired me time and time again to embrace my femininity while pursing my goals.

Why do you feel it’s important to mark Women’s History Month?

When I think about Women’s History Month, I think about the women in my family. I think about how hard they had to work to prove themselves, to take steps toward equity – all while raising families. The opportunities I have as a young professional are a direct result of women like them who never settled for no as an answer. And that is something worth celebrating.
