Q&A With Enrique Casanova, SVP, Group Account Director, NY

Enrique Casanova, SVP, Group Account Director, NY at Momentum Worldwide

Welcome Enrique, tell us a little about you and your new role?

“I’ve been in this business for over 20 years, primarily on the agency side. It’s the best… we get to trade on the currency of “fun.” There’s no greater asset in life than experiences, and we get to build them, enhance them for fans and participants, and bring people closer to the things they’re passionate about. I truly enjoy doing that, and I love the science and creativity that goes into it. In my new role, I get to work with a team of exceptionally talented people to help bring Verizon’s brand to life through experience and challenge ourselves to do that in ways that haven’t been imagined before. Sounds pretty good, right?

More importantly, though, I’m a husband, dad, sports fan, music lover, and resident of an awesome community in New Rochelle, New York. Those experiences are my personal “greatest assets.”

What are you most excited to work on with Verizon?

As a client, Verizon represents an incredible opportunity. It’s a recipe that includes a powerhouse brand, a top-tier sponsorship portfolio and an industry that moves at lightning speed. When I think about how connectivity has revolutionized how we experience the world around us in the past, say, 10 years—the blink of an eye, historically—and how it will radically transform those experiences in the next 10 years, it’s an exciting wave to ride alongside an entity like Verizon, who will be powering that transformation.

What attracted you to join Momentum?

It’s never just one thing, right? One of the greatest aspects of our industry is the people. To create true engagement, you need engaging people, smart people; teammates with vision that can apply it to innovative solutions, but who are also grounded in the basics of what we do—bringing awesome experiences to life. It’s one of the reasons I love this business, and Momentum has an abundance of talented people like this within a diverse and culture-rich environment. Beyond that, I was drawn to Momentum because this organization “walks the walk” when it comes to investing in its people, investing in its offerings and standing behind its beliefs. That was very important to me.

Tell us a fun fact that people may not know about you?

If I had to do it all over again in a completely different career, I’d want to be a stand-up comedian.  Or a neuroscientist. Or some combination of the two.”
