The agency adds a new VP of strategic planning, while three account directors join its experiential division, Momentum.
...[Three] additions have joined the account team at Momentum, the agency’s experiential and engagement division.
“Our team has been expanding rapidly due to tremendous organic growth and new business wins,” said Matt Lewis, managing director of Momentum Canada, who himself joined the agency earlier this year. “These newest additions to the team elevate our skill set across sponsorship, content and event production, but what we’re most excited about are the leadership qualities inherent in each of them.”
Angela Gill has been hired as group account director at Momentum, having most recently been at SDI Marketing, where she helped launched the Rogers Hometown Hockey program. Gill has a mix of client- and agency-side experience, having previously worked as director of sponsorship strategy at Canadian Tire, group account director at Cossette, manager of marketing at CBC and manager of marketing programs at Molson Coors.
Also joining Momentum are account directors Jim Chestnutt and Jeff Perrin.
Chestnutt is an events producer with more than ten years of experience, having worked on events that helped to launch Nike.com and Miller Lite in Canada, as well as activations for RBC and Virgin Mobile. Perrin, most recently executive producer for the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television, has a background in live TV and talent management in addition to events and sponsorship, having worked on productions including The Canadian Country Music Awards, The Canadian Screen Awards and the Scotiabank Giller Prize, as well as a stint at Bristow Global Media as sponsorship director for W Network’s Hockey Wives.
McCann also added to the Momentum team with three hires that came earlier this year as part of growth across all the agency’s departments. In March, the agency hired Josh Stein to be its new ECD in Toronto and, last month, gave a send off to the “MacLaren” name as it adopted the McCann Canada brand.
