Worldwide Brand Experience Agency Taking Its Place in Downtown
ST. LOUIS, April 22, 2016 — Global brand experience agency Momentum Worldwide will move its St. Louis office and 150 employees to a 27,850-square-foot space in downtown St. Louis, announced JLL. The agency is leaving its suburban Richmond Heights space to take a full floor with a private rooftop deck at 1831 Chestnut St.
John Warren, a vice president in the St. Louis office of JLL, represented the landlord, Oak Street Real Estate Capital, in the transaction.
“The move by Momentum Worldwide underscores the resurgence underway in downtown St. Louis, which has become a creative hub for residents and businesses,” Warren said.
The St. Louis downtown area is undergoing a significant transition as residents move downtown and vintage buildings are leased by creative agencies, tech companies, and other entrepreneurial-minded businesses.
“As we’re a company built on how the power of experience can improve brands, we’re very excited for a move that demonstrates how dedicated we are to our world class talent’s experience at our agency,” said Momentum Worldwide Chairman & CEO Chris Weil. “The growing energy and vibrancy of downtown St Louis is the perfect environment for us to create inspired, creative work that will continue to connect us and our clients with opportunities and people around the world.”
Momentum Worldwide is planning a large renovation of the office space, focused on creating a unique experience centered around large, open spaces that encourage collaboration. The company expects to take occupancy of its space by January of 2017.
1831 Chestnut offers Class A amenities including a gym, café and conference room along with sweeping views of the Downtown. Additionally, the building provides the opportunity to design unique, creative spaces with its large floor plates and an open ceiling plan. The iconic St. Louis Union Station is also located directly across the street and includes a 539-room hotel with dramatic meeting, exhibit and outdoor space, and retail businesses. Further enhancements to Union Station are currently proposed, including adding a Ferris wheel.
Momentum Worldwide was represented by Newmark Grubb Knight Frank and Gershman Commercial Real Estate.
